She shared several posts on her different online apps regarding her training in different places for the 2023/2024 Giant Slalom season.

On 23rd August, the alpine queen posted a picture of a long list including her training gear on social media. Fans speculated that she was going on a training vacation for the upcoming Alpine skiing World Cup. However, the athlete did not drop any confirmation by herself. But now Mikaela Shiffrin was finally spotted making a big move for the giant slalom.

Mikaela Shiffrin takes a big step for the upcoming World Cup

The upcoming World Cup season will be taking place in Solden, Austria from 28th October to 29th October with men and women giant slalom. After securing the record-breaking World titles 88 times, the Olympian has buckled up for one more. Mikaela Shiffrin has headed to Chile for training for the Solden giant slalom. According to the Olympics, the alpine queen was training in Chile only for her 2022/2023 alpine skiing season.

In September 2022, Mikaela Shiffrin posted her picture on Instagram from Chile Mountain and wrote, “It’s been a super productive camp in Chile the last few weeks!! We are nearing the end of this camp, and I just wanted to thank my coaches and the @usskiteam for all of your hard work and support, as always.” But this time in 2023, on her way to Chile, she was not the only one to fly to Chile for training, the athlete was accompanied by a great American National sports team on her way. Shiffrin posted the picture on her Instagram story.

The alpine sensation bumps into another US National team

On the flight to Chile for the upcoming World Cup training, Mikaela Shiffrin was more than happy to pose with the US Paralympic team. The US Para alpine skiing team and the US Para snowboarding team were also flying to Chile for their competitions. She met with Matthew Brewer, a Paralympian alpine skier who was heading to Santiago with his team. He was delighted to meet the legend and wrote on his Instagram story, “Oh Hey”, tagging Mikaela Shiffrin.

With the slogan of “Ladies first” in the upcoming Solden Giant Slalom, women will be competing first on 28th October, Saturday.
