As the 2023 TIME Awards ceremony commenced on 12th December, A Year in Time gala in New York was attended by prominent names across various fields, from entertainment to sports. Everyone who marked their presence at the event expressed their heartiest congratulations to the award recipients. Following suit, the alpine skiing queen,  Lindsey Vonn also took a moment to acknowledge the honorees.

As alpine skiing legend took to her social media handle to share her stills from the award ceremony, she made sure to mention the personalities who took the spotlight that night. Interestingly, Vonn congratulated Time’s Person of the Year 2023 – Taylor Swift, and Time’s Athlete of the Year- Lionel Messi.

Congratulations to all of the innovators and dreamers who are changing the world: @taylorswift (person of the year),@sama (CEO of the year) and @leomessi (athlete of the year.) I would nominate @jessicasibley as CEO of the year as well! Was also great to see some dear friends, who should not to be underestimated for their impact either! Bravo”

Vonn rose to the occasion to congratulate Taylor Swift for being profiled as the TIME Person of the Year 2023 for her musical excellence. She also took the opportunity to congratulate Lionel Messi, who has been named TIME Athlete of the Year for 2023 for his incredible impact on soccer in the United States. Interestingly, Vonn also congratulated Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, as he has been named as TIME CEO of the Year 2023.

Nonetheless, Vonn took the spotlight during the event with her endearing presence, as she not only carried a sleek look but also donned the black Victoria Beckham dress with an absolute finesse.
