An exciting development took place on the court of USA basketball right before the 2024 Paris Olympics. The dynamic duo of USA 3X3 Basketball’s coaches of the year is preparing the team for ultimate glory in the upcoming event. Recently, the 2023 Co-Coaches of the Year were given an appreciation on social media for their amazing training.

The former U Conn women’s basketball player, who is also the Connecticut Sun President, has been appointed as the head coach for the women’s Olympic team. On the men’s side, the head coach of Butler County Community College in Oak Hills, Pa., has been chosen. A social media post recently announced the update while also giving information about the assistant coaches for the national team.

Bringing the best keeping the Paris Olympics 2024 in mind

Jen Rizzotti and Joe Lewandowski are the two coaches for the women’s and men’s sides respectively who will be taking the USA basketball teams ahead at the Paris Olympics. The official Twitter page of USA Basketball 3×3 has recently shared a picture with the caption, “Leading us into Paris! @coachJoeLew & @jamesfraschilla have been named to the 2024 USA Basketball 3×3 Men’s National Team coaching staff!”

For the men’s team, Lewandowski will have James Fraschilla by his side. Despite a setback of missing out on the Tokyo qualification, the head coach led the U.S. team to clinch a silver medal at the World Cup last year, featuring basketball Luminary Jimmer Fredette. Lewandowski has been a linchpin of the USA Basketball program since 2014, providing valuable tips and tricks to elevate the team’s game plan on the global stage. Besides this, another tweet has been shared on the same page where they introduced the team’s women’s coach.

A coach with several gold medal-winning shows

Jen Rizzotti, last year, Rizzotti coached three gold-medal-winning teams, including the 2023 USA 3×3 Women’s World Cup Team, 2023 USA 3×3 Women’s AmeriCup Team, and the 2023 USA 3×3 Women’s Pan American Team.“I am absolutely honored to be continuing my USA basketball journey as the coach of the 2024 USA 3×3 Women’s National Team. It has been the joy of my career to coach athletes who are representing our country on the biggest stage at the Olympic Games,” Rizzotti said in a statement about the role.
