Now, the US will soon be entering another 3×3 Basketball tournament and will look to add a new trophy to its shelves.

FIBA 3×3 Basketball is soon going to hold its next major tournament, the FIBA AmeriCup. Several nations, including the USA, have already announced their final teams for the tournament. In fact, according to a recent social media post, the women’s team of the US has also received its battle armor.

USA Women’s 3×3 Basketball team gets a new look

The women’s 3×3 Basketball team of the US has proven itself as one of the most formidable units of skill in 2023. The team has won several recent FIBA world tours with overwhelming performances over its opponents. USA Basketball 3×3 recently tweeted an image on its official X account showcasing the new battle gear of the AmeriCup squad. According to the tweet, “Jersey Day. 5 @dearicamarie, 9 @Kelz_Hoop, 12 @33katielou, 13 @ZimmermanCam.”

 The tweet featured the X handles of Dearica Marie Hamby, Kelsey Mitchell, Katie Lou Samuelson, and Camille Zimmerman. These players will be heading to San Juan in Puerto Rico for the FIBA AmeriCup. The tournament starts on 30 November and will go on till 3 December 2023. While the team will journey to San Jose, they recently showcased an immense display of basketball in another South American nation while donning the US jerseys.

The Santiago triumph and the road to Paris

The US women’s 3×3 Basketball team recently hoisted the American National flag in Santiago after winning the Pan Am Games American. The Pan Am gold medalists dominated and subdued their opponents throughout the Pan Am Games. Moreover, the national 3×3 Basketball team has accumulated several great players during the tournament for the US.

The constant strife to get better and make one’s position in the 3×3 Basketball format, where just four players make it to the championships. As the upcoming Olympics lie just 240 days away, the US would step on the gas at the AmeriCup and get another fresh taste of international competition.
