In a past video interview with Generation Iron, bodybuilder turned actor Kai Greene once confessed something personal. He spoke to the press about how he had been afraid for a long time. Reflecting upon his experiences, Kai Greene spoke about his views on fear.

Often regarded as one of the best bodybuilders to never have won the competition of Mr. Olympia, Kai Greene chose to never compete again post-2014 after finishing second for three years in a row. He later ventured into acting with titles like College Debts and Crazy Fist and later acted in Stranger Things and Pogaru.

Kai Greene’s views on being afraid
While discussing the significance of being afraid with Generation Iron, Kai said, “a lot of times we shrink away from new challenges out of, you know, fear.”
“I spent a long time in my life being afraid,” he continued.

He gave the audience a lesson from his own life. Kai Greene, who has won numerous accolades on his journey as an artist, reiterates the importance of the creative process in his statements.”Fear is probably the greatest enemy of human potential,” said Kai.

According to studies, fear results in physiological alterations that might result in behavioral responses like mounting an aggressive defense or running away from the threat. Hence, the bodybuilder shared his two cents on what it takes to overcome it.
Getting ahead of what scares you
According to him, what defines your notion of fear is your own outlook. Furthermore, Greene also discussed his mantra for overcoming your fears. He stated, “Part of being courageous or having a hero kind of quality, is to not never be afraid… But how you deal with that fear.”
