Chris Bumstead is currently enjoying the fame of retaining his Mr.Olympia Classic Physique title for the fourth time. However, he is not yet over the victorious evening he experienced at Mr.Olympia 2022. Recently, Bumstead posted a picture with friend and competitor Urs Kalecinski on Instagram. The warm picture had a caption that described Urs as a ‘Skinny Bear’. In retaliation for being called skinny, the 23-year-old bodybuilder had a teasing comment for Bumstead.

Chris Bumstead and Urs Kalecinski participate in the same Classic Physique category in Mr.Olympia. While Chris won the category, Urs stood third at it. The two are great pals and love working out together at gyms. 

Urs Kalencinski replied to the skinny bear comment of Chris Bumstead

Chris and Urs might be competitors on the stage, but they maintain great friendships off-stage. In many instances, they work out together and inspire each other. Recently, Chris Bumstead posted a few snaps of them backstage during Mr.Olympia 2022.

They posed happily in the first picture, whereas the next two snaps indicated they were relaxing backstage. The bodybuilder captioned the post as;

Bumstaed expressed that he always has the best time with Urs in the competition which is clearly evident in the carousel of three pictures. Moreover, he also believes that Urs brought great energy to the competition. 

However, upon getting called ‘skinny bear’, Kalencinski replied to the 27-year-old bodybuilder ‘old man’ in the comment section. He wrote;

the signature peace pose!🔥 still waiting for the pancakes you owe me old man 👀 🥞

Urs teased Bumstead playfully, reminding him that he owed him pancakes. It definitely indicates that they have a great bond and never fail to have the best time together. Well, it is always great to see bodybuilders becoming each other’s friends despite how competitive the sport is. 

Bumstead talks about losing friends

Chris Bumstead revealed that he was a very social guy at his University. However, when he developed the aspiration of doing something big in life, he shut the doors of his social life. He revealed that he gradually stopped inviting him to gatherings. Chris failed to keep in touch with people because he had to focus on his life-making goals. 

The bodybuilder stated that although he became successful in life, he had lost his friends. He sacrificed his social life to reach where he is today.
