As the 2024 Paris Olympics is only a few days away, the Olympics Games took to their official Twitter account to share a glimpse of Brazilian boxers making waves all across the internet. Alongside posting a couple of pictures, The Olympic Games penned, “56 years after writing the first chapter of Brazil’s boxing history, Luiz Oliveira has the chance to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps as he enters the ring this summer at #Paris2024.

Servílio de Oliveira has been a dominant boxer in the annals of Brazilian boxing. To keep up with the legacy of Servilio, his grandson, Luiz Oliveira, entered the boxing ring. Directly after coming up in the boxing ring, Luiz Olivera repeated the 50-year-old impressive feat of his grandfather at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

The major reason for Luiz’s popularity is not only his relationship with his inspiration, Servilio but also his coach or trainer. Interestingly, Luiz is trained by his father in the exact same weight category as his grandfather. But how is Luiz a hope for thousands of Brazilian spectators?
