Among them, boxers are primed for the spotlight as some of them already secured their Paris tickets with a few more spots left. Apart from qualifying for the event, teams and the authorities are taking major steps to ensure that the athletes are on top of the game.

USA boxing recently saw a major development in that direction. They have made a unique arrangement for the Paris qualifiers to give an Olympic feel before they hit the stage.

Today’s stars to hear from the former Olympians

In a recent announcement, USA Boxing took to its official Instagram account and posted a couple of pictures along with a major update. They penned, “ Calling all our Olympic alumni! We would love to have you all in Colorado Springs this summer to celebrate our @paris2024 team”

The former Olympians feature experience with the games, making them the most reliable people to hear from and follow. Therefore, USA Boxing is inviting all the Olympians across boxing to Colorado Springs from June 7 to June 9 to not only celebrate but also to send off the 2024 Paris Olympics roster.

Kicking off with a Friday night mixer, USA Boxing will be setting the stage for an unparalleled Olympian session on Day 2. Interestingly, Day 2 of the session cannot be missed as it will feature Olympic qualifiers getting valuable lessons from veteran Olympians to boost their Paris preparation. As the excitement is brewing and anticipation is building up, spectators are eager to know who the top contenders are this season.

Boxers who paved their Road to the 2024 Paris Olympics

After undergoing rigorous competition across three qualifying tournaments, five contenders now have made it to secure an Olympic spot. The first qualifying event, the 2023 Pan American Games held at Santiago, awarded five athletes an Olympic spot. Fortunately, Joshua Edwards, at 92kg, Jajaira Gonzalez at 60 kg, and Jahmal Harvey, at 57 Kg, punched their tickets to Paris.

Following them, Jennifer Lozano in 50kg and Morelle McCane in 66 Kg made it to add their names to the list, too. However, there are eight remaining spots at Olympic 2024 that will be awarded in the upcoming qualification events. USA’s Boxers vying for the Olympic spot will be competing for the same at the first Olympic Qualification Tournament in Italy scheduled in a couple of days.
