With the world waiting on the Paris Olympics it may break records in more ways than one! If the Olympics was not exciting already, the games will now officially include ‘Breaking’ as a sport. To say that the world community is excited, would be an understatement. With break dancers all across the globe ready to shoot for the Gold, one of the veterans of the breaking community landed in Utah to give kids at Mountain View High School an Olympic workout.

Miguel Rosario a.k.a Gravity celebrated the debut of ‘Breaking’ in the Paris Olympics 2024 in an exhilarating manner. He gave several kids in Mountain View High School in Utah, a class on ‘Breaking’. The video of the class along with Gravity’s own exclusives is stealing the hearts of every Olympic and Breaking fan out there. In the video, Gravity can be seen mentoring children firsthand and teaching them by his own example.

Teachable Moments in Utah
In the session on ‘Breaking’, Gravity shared his moves and the workout routine of an Olympian. He also coached the students and helped them practice. The break-dancer also expressed his excitement about ‘Breaking’ becoming an official sport in the Olympics to KUTV, eye on Utah who exclusively covered the session. In the interview, he confessed, “It’s a really big thing.” When asked about his views on Breaking being featured as a sport he said, “It gives it something new. It gives it something exciting.”

The kids in the session were candid about the difficulty of Olympic-level training. They were sweating through the warm-up. When asked about the intensity, one of them responded “Pretty hard” with complete honesty.

In the video titled “Bboy Gravity’s Breaking for gold journey Part 1,” he talks about his background, the odds he faced, and the journey that made him who he is.

Gravity is not just any break-dancer, he is one of the best breakers in the world. His journey in sports started when he was just 5 years old. Athletics ultimately led to him discovering Breaking at the age of 16. Now, with over 15 years of experience and more than 10 international world titles, he would represent USA for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
In his video diary, Gravity goes candid and talks about his journey. His family, friends, competitions from the past, old pictures, and origins truly come into view. The video begins with the quote “The new athletes are the artist” which is befitting as more and more hopeful dancers are aiming for the spot on the coveted Team USA. Previews and interviews of Sunny Choi and Jeffery Louis who are two promising hopefuls have come to light.
As ‘Breaking’ enters the world arena, no one could have imagined a platform bigger and better than the Olympics. With countries gearing up for the games, all that’s left to see is who else will be joining the line-up with Gravity.
