Chloe Kim won the gold medal at her maiden Winter Olympics Pyeongchang-gun in 2018. Coming from an eventful yet stressful experience, Chloe just wanted to go back to her normal life.

However, in an instance where she went out to grab something to eat, Kim felt overwhelmed by the attention she received. “It makes you angry. I just wanted a day where I was left alone. And it’s impossible. And I appreciate that everyone loves and supports me, but I just wish people could understand what I was going through up to that point,” Chloe said.

Further revealing how people started making assumptions about her, she said, ”Everyone was like, ‘I just met her, and she’s such a b*tch.’ I’m not a b*tch. I just had the most exhausting two months of my life, and the minute I get home I’m getting hassled. I just want to get my f-cking ham and cheese sandwich and go.”

Chloe reveals the experience she had at Princeton

In 2019, the snowboarder joined Princeton University in pursuit of finishing her education. However, her snowboarding identity followed her there as well. Chloe revealed how once a girl asked her for a picture at University, and when Chloe denied her request, she faced judgment from others.

Chloe said, ”And immediately after that, everyone was like, ‘Oh, she’s such a b**ch. Blah blah blah.”
