Lance Armstrong is one of the most popular sporting personalities in the USA. Whether it’s his exceptional performances, dark scandals, or personal love stories, Lance Armstrong has always grabbed the global limelight. He dated the iconic singer Sheryl Crow for two years. The power couple started dating in 2003 and got engaged in 2005 but eventually drifted apart in 2006. However, Lance felt that the over-exposure to media made things difficult for both.

The media coverage was too much to handle for Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow

Lance Armstrong talked about the time when he and Sheryl were together. Lance admitted that both of them shared a good time. She also acknowledged the strong character of Sheryl Crow. He said, “It was a good ride. She’s a great lady. It didn’t work out, but I think and I hope she’s happy. I’m happy,” 

Their fans highly appreciated and loved the couple. Lance recalled when the power couple was the presenters at the Grammy awards. “We were like presenters at the GRAMMYs”, he recounted. However, the cycling legend felt that the media coverage made it tough to co-exist. “It wasn’t easy being in a relationship that made headlines,” he admitted. Both superstars must have had their differences, but the extensive media coverage made it difficult for them to work on their differences.

Lance clarified that both of them tried to work on their relationship. Lance Armstrong also acknowledged Sheryl’s efforts. He recalled some incidents when Sheryl came out of her comfort zone. “To her credit, she was a stay-at-home but she was a great partner. She was at the races.”

Armstrong revealed the reason for their breakup

People knew that both Armstrong and Sheryl had conflicts among them, but nobody knew the exact reason for their breakup. Lance All the rumors about themselves in 2009 through his book. He confessed that both of them wanted different things at that time. Sheryl wanted to take the relationship forward, but Lance had other priorities. He wrote, “She wanted marriage, she wanted children; and not that I didn’t want that,“

Lance Armstrong’s past relationship was still holding his thoughts to move forward at that time. Armstrong confessed that he wasn’t ready for another marriage then. He confessed, “But I didn’t want that at that time because I had just gotten out of a marriage.“
