Tapit Trice’s phenomenal performances made him one of the fan favorites

Tapit Trice was the winner of the GII Lambholm South Tampa Bay Derby in March 2023. After this, Tapit won the GI Blue Grass Stakes contest at Keeneland, earning 100 points with this win. This victory helped Tapit Trice to secure his place in the 149th Kentucky Derby that will be held on May 6.

Tapit is a 3-year-old colt trained by Todd Pletcher and owned by Whisper Farm LLC. In the 149th Kentucky Derby, he will be ridden by Luis Saez, a Panama City native who has won the Breeders Cup and the American Classic in the past.
