Waves of excitement have taken over the equestrian world as the nominees for the USEF Equestrian of the Year Awards have been released by the US Equestrian. This is one of the most prestigious events of the year and is one of the most anticipated too.

All the steadfast equestrians have been nominated for this prestigious award. The equestrian community is on its toes to witness the final results of this award ceremony. The grand gala of the award ceremony will take place in the mid of January in Louisville.

The USEF announces the nominees for National Equestrian of the Year 

The 2024 International and National Equestrians of the Year will be announced in Louisville. This will be held on the 14th of January 2023. The US Equestrian have divulged the list of the nominees for the 2023 USEF National Equestrian of the Year, amid much fanfare.

The US Equestrian took to their Instagram account to announce nominees for the award. The caption of the post carried, “Congratulations to our 2023 USEF National Equestrian of the Year nominees!” Renowned equestrians like Duane Esser, John French, Shanna Gish, Colby Powell, Shannon Price-Heald, and Tim Roesink have been selected for this award.

These phenoms have had a wonderful 2023 year. They have played crucial roles in the community this year and have also nabbed valuable wins for themselves, and each one of them had their own journey this year. 

The sojourn of the nominees

Duane Esser emerged victorious as the first name in the laundry list of nominees. He hails from Cleves, Ohio, and has displayed great mettle in equestrian since eons. He capped four sweeps and a championship title in at the SAHIBA Arabian Spring Show. 

John French has also carved his niche in the equestrian community. He is considered as one of the most accomplished hunter riders in the sport. He has nabbed three stellar wins in 2023 and increased his numbers. Third is Shanna Gish, who also made it to the nomination list and has secured myriad great awards like the English Pleasure Grand Championship and more.

Colby Powell has been showcasing his dominance in this field since a very young age. 2023 was a memorable year for him as he took home many wins like the Arabian Ranch Horse Riding Futurity, and many more like it.
