Mark Wahlberg, the two-time Academy Award nominee, has often made known his keen interest in his kids. Moving to Las Vegas, leaving Hollywood behind, Mark revealed it was time for his children to pursue their dreams and interests. Stemming from there, the ‘Uncharted’ actor, along with his wife Rhea Durham, has proved to be the biggest supporters of their budding equestrian daughter, Grace.

“So proud of you Grace,” Rhea had written as her daughter clinched one of her early victories and the two stood beaming in pride. However today, Mark’s support has extended beyond, as he joined fellow equestrian father Bruce Springsteen in drawing attention to the sport and its initiatives for athletes on the road to Paris 2024.

The USET Foundation recently took to Instagram to share a clip of Mark Wahlberg announcing himself as the chairman of the organization’s fundraising event in March. “Mark Wahlberg has become a fan of equestrian sport through his daughter,” the post captioned. It further welcomed Mark as a personality aware of representing the US at the highest levels, thus being a perfect suit.

Accepting of the role, the famed actor invited the spectators to the “Equestrians in Paris” fundraising event in Del Mar on March 22nd. Equestrian performances, entertainment, and a live auction, Mark Wahlberg states, will make up the day’s lineup.

For the “Victory in Versailles” Benefit Gala held last month, it was Bruce Springsteen supporting the cause. The celebrated singer co-chaired the event with wife Patti Scialfa and even joined the performing band for some spectacle. In the coming event, however, Mark Wahlberg won’t be making his presence due to a colliding schedule. Nonetheless, with his support from afar, the gala will proceed to help out the athletes in attaining their dreams.

All in to help athletes reach dreams

On March 22nd, the Del Mar Fairgrounds will welcome a multitude of enthusiasts eager to support the cause and enjoy some fun. The event kicks off with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30. Halter Ego will present entertainment, accompanied by live performances by renowned equestrians, framing the reported schedule. Olympic dressage medalists such as Guenter Seidel, Steffen Peters, and Sabine Schut-Kery will be among the notable names gracing the grounds on Friday.

While Mark Wahlberg will be away, benefit co-chairs Sean Caddell, Katherine Annie, and others will join in on the celebrations. More information and updates will be offered by USET on their official website.
