In equestrian sports, compatibility with your equine partner is the thumb rule of success. Building camaraderie with your equine partner is what makes this sport so special and divergent. But what if two people from two different animal sports fall in love and support each other in pursuing their respective sports? One such incident happened in the equestrian arena, where two people from two unlikely sports fell in love and are helping each other.

The woman is an equestrian showjumper, and her boyfriend is a professional cowboy. The interesting part is that her boyfriend is helping her train the horses for her showjumping performances.

Hunter Holloway is a professional showjumper and is one of the most influential young rider, and her boyfriend, Dylan Gamble, is a cowboy. But their shared love for horses has brought them together, and both of them are working together with the training montage of Holloway’s showjumping career. News was reported by The Chronicles of the Horse, in a recent race at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, Holloway and her 14-year-old horse Eastern Jam made their way to the top at the Florida Coast Equipment Grand Prix CSI3*, worth over $150,000. She has an accomplished career victories of worth over $600,000.

Holloway and Jam have been equestrian partners for more than eight years now, and Holloway started riding Jam in her Junior  years. Surprisingly, once Gamble was seen training this horse, the photo went viral amongst the equestrian community. Talking about their joint venture, Holloway stated, “My boyfriend and I worked together within the barn—the whole entire operation we work together on,” she further added. “He grew up riding westerns and starting colts. In the last few years, he’s integrated into my business as well.” Their love story is one of a kind and started in a state that is famous for its equestrian haven.

How it all started

25-year-old Holloway and Gamble first met in 2019 in Florida. Holloway was raised in Topeka and comes from a family deeply rooted in horses, and Gamble learned horse riding from the trainer Buck Brannaman and was starting colts. Once she met him and was impressed with the way he was handling the horse, she henceforth invited him to her farm, and that’s how they became friends.

Their collective efforts are turning out to be fruitful for them, as Holloway is on a run and has won multiple championships. She has claimed championships like the CSI5* AON Cup and the CSI5* HITS Grand Prix at Hits Saugerties. She is only getting started with her equestrian journey, and she has the whole world to conquer with her boyfriend’s expertise by her side, don’t you agree?
