Furthermore guided by the skilled hands of Frenchman Christophe Lemaire, the 4-year-old Equinox surged ahead, crossing the 2,400 meters of turf at Tokyo Racecourse in a breathtaking 2 minutes and 21.8 seconds. The triumph not only secured Equinox’s dominance in the race but also etched its name in history by tying a record—six consecutive victories in G1 races. Along similar lines, the trainer of Equinox has shared impactful words with horse racing enthusiasts that have shaken the fans.

The Japan Cup unfolded as a saga of speed and strategy, with Panthalassa, the loose leader, making a daring front-running move, captivating the audience with a double-digit lead. However, Equinox, biding his time in the third position, had Tokyo straight in his sights. As Panthalassa extended his lead to an impressive 15 to 20 lengths, Equinox, sired by the 2016 Japan Cup winner Kitasan Black took the moment.
