After bidding farewell to the British racing arena, horse racing legend Frankie Dettori is exploring new chapters of his life in jungle terrains. Dettori was invited as a guest to the Australian TV show ‘I’m a Celebrity’ and is currently exploring the jungle along with other contestants. Although the 52-year-old is struggling to stand out, he recently amazed the audience with racing details.

Dettori has had an illustrious jockeying career, spanning over 35 years. As the British Flat racing champion looks to enjoy the later part of his life, he chose to explore the jungle with Tony Bellew. Despite a great start on the show, the elimination doubts are looming over Frankie Dettori. However, he continues to headline the show, and recently shocked the contestants with jockey stories.

Frankie Dettori shocks celebs with horse racing details

Frankie Dettori is an exceptional jockey. Yet, he is a great TV personality as well. He has made several appearances in TV shows, the most significant being the current ‘I’m a Celebrity’. Dettori was quizzed as to how much jockeys typically earn.He amazed the audience with horse racing trials and tribulations while also highlighting some setbacks. He recently divulged as to how underpaid jockeys are conventionally.

World Horse Racing tweeted to give a shoutout to Dettori. “A racing guidebook, from @FrankieDettori on #ImACeleb!’, WHR wrote. The 52-year-old British jockey can be seen giving a rousing and saddening retelling of the underpaid world of horse racing to the other stars present on the show. As Dettori stated that only the first 4 jockeys get paid, the celebs were shocked, asking, “So you could go to a race and not get paid.”?

Dettori provided a comprehensive explanation of how races take place, when weigh-ins happen, and how much is a jockey getting paid, among other things. A 3-decade long career surely has had to have amazing stories, and so does Frankie Dettori’s. As he recalled his record 6 victories, the other celebrities were flattened.

 Celebrities gobsmacked by the British jockey’s revelations

After Dettori recalled some of his past achievements, the celebrities on the Australian TV show were left in awe. Such was his aura, that one of the contestants went to say, “OMG, he’s the coolest person here!”. After chipping in with his musings and maxims from his life, Dettori explained how he won seven straight races at Ascot Racehorse, becoming the only one to do so.

With over 287 Grade 1 victories in his career, Dettori achieved the remarkable feat of riding all seven winners at the British Festival of Racing on September 28, 1996. Although the 52-year-old expressed his dissent on the amount jockeys are getting paid, he surely did create a legacy for himself.
