One of the biggest highlights of Simonson’s year was his mesmerizing performances at the 2023 Pan American Games. He led Team USA to gold at the tournament aboard his equine partner Son of Lady. Interestingly, as he concludes his year, he is nothing but grateful for the accolades he garnered in 2023, while fans are showering him with praises.

Christian Simonson reflects on 2023 season

After Simonson discovered dressage at the age of 6, he soon knew his purpose in life. He rose through the ranks to become one of the leading dressage champions in the USA.

And, in 2023, the 22-year-old won, and won big. He made his senior debut at the FEI Dressage Nations Cup. Simonson won silver with the team and individual gold in the FEI Intermediate Freestyle. Simonson also went on to clinch the Neue/USEF Intermediate Dressage Nation Championship at the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions.

In the latest Instagram post, Simonson reflected on the past year and expressed gratitude for everything he achieved. “2023…What a special year”, he penned.

Atop his beloved horse Son of a Lady, Christian Simonson has seen unprecedented success this year, and he can’t be more proud of himself. Nevertheless, as he celebrates his commendable spree, his fandom took a moment to express their unfeigned regards for the equestrian.

We’re so proud of your growth! Thank you for representing us Christian”, a fan commented after being left awestruck by Simonson’s heroics in debut year.

Earlier this year, Simonson racked up awards at the annual USDF gala. He won the USDF gold medal and awards for Zeaball, Son of a Lady, and Duval. “Congrats on a killer year, Christian”, a fan noted recognizing the remarkable achievements of Simonson. Another fan echoed the same, writing, “You are so special!! Truly, I admire you!! Hope you have a wonderful new year, and achieve everything you set out to do.”
