Singer-songwriters have over the years performed many bizarre acts on stage to entertain the audience. However, making an entry on the stage while riding a horse is something that beats even equestrians. So when country music star Tanya Tucker entered the Grand Ole Opry on the back of a black horse, she created history. It was one of the largest country music shows of its kind, and the audience was in for a world of surprise.

Although it’s understandable, given the connection of horses with westerns and thereby country music, Tanya Tucker took it to another level when she opened the set with the song “Kindness” from her new album “Sweet Western Sound”. After the news went viral on on social media, fans had reactions that ranged from bizarre to praiseworthy.

A Facebook post by Grand Ole Opry went, “Tanya Tucker made Opry history last night when she rode her horse onstage to close out the Friday Night Opry!” The Grand Ole Opry is a Live music venue in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s significance in Nashville is so old and strong, that it is regarded as the ‘Home of America’s country music capital’. So, Tucker’s entrance in this historically significant arena was more triumphant than it seemed.

In the 97-year-long history of the Nashville concert, this is the first time someone rode a horse onto the stage. It was a black Friesian Stallion named Lauwe the Magnificent. Tucker then started her song “Kindness” from her recently released album and it completely stupefied the audience. Tucker had the attention of the whole Nashville crowd, and she gave them a memory forever to cherish.

This wasn’t the first time Tucker rode her black and beautiful horse. Just two months ago, after being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Tucker was riding the same stallion through the roads of Nashville. It was also courtesy Annika Bruggeworth, of Kentucky’s Siren Song Stables and the owner of Lauwe the Magnificent, that such a stellar display was possible. The live audience and the fans online had a great time discussing their opinion on it.
