Bill Gates and Melinda Gates have brought up all of their children to be fearless and independent individuals. Jennifer Gates Nassar, their eldest daughter, is a perfect example of those values. She has never shied away from taking on challenges and pushing herself to achieve her goals. This led her to success in both showjumping and the medical field. Interestingly, her family always stood by her side through thick and thin and encouraged her with everything she set her mind to.

Likewise, when she announced her battle against “baby blues,” her husband Nayel Nassar was always by her side to support her through the difficult time. More so, Jenn has shared all of her vulnerable moments in the weeks following the birth to draw attention to the postpartum struggles of mothers. She wanted to eliminate the stigma surrounding depression and encourage open conversations about mental health.
