Settling into the converted St. Albans school, she crossed paths with Robert Mainwaring, the son of the school’s Headmaster, and their union shaped her destiny. Together, they embarked on a shared passion for horses, opening an equestrian facility on the school’s grounds in 1957. As the years passed, Eve’s presence in the equestrian community grew, and she became a co-owner of the renowned Canadian show-jumping horse, Big Ben. Her journey was not without its challenges, . Nonetheless, through her roles, Eve touched countless lives in the equestrian world. However, with her unfortunate passing, the equestrian community left saddened with the loss of one of its staunch members.
