Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles are the leading senior gymnasts of Team USA. The best friends are known for delivering astonishing performances and for overcoming all adversity with their skill and goofiness. However, the bubbly atmosphere the two always share was slashed in half when Chiles suffered a harsh setback at the qualifiers. But, the iconic gymnast was ready to rise. 

Along similar lines, the U.S. World Selection Camp Event has been unforgiving for almost all gymnasts. In fact, Jordan Chiles also took a fall on the first day which greatly concerned her fans. Despite the health concern, Chiles came back strong on the second day and gave strong competition to her best friend and toughest competitor Simone Biles. The feat also canceled the criticism trailing her fall on the opening day.

Jordan Chiles puts up a strong front against Simone Biles

Jordan Chiles fell out of bounds during her floor exercise performance on the opening day of the crucial trials. Regardless of the adversity, the 21-year-old athlete came out strong and with a clear objective on Day 2. Fans were concerned about Chiles’ ankle as she looked quite distressed by it. However, Chiles scored amazingly on the second day and put up a strong front against her best friend, Simone Biles. A viral tweet on X heaved a sigh of relief after finding out that Chiles was fine.

Jordan Chiles grabbed a score of 14.100 on uneven bars, 13.100 on the beam, and 12.950 on the floor. She maintained her consistency despite the fall on the first day and didn’t let it hamper her progress. With this, Chiles also gave a fitting reply to all the doubts raised on her, amidst the setback. Interestingly, Chiles’ best friend Biles also suffered a couple of falls but still emerged on the top.

Jordan Chiles makes it to the Pan-American Team

Jordan Chiles’ hard work earned her a prestigious spot in USA Gymnastics’ Pan American Team. Chiles managed to successfully anchor herself between the ranks six to ten after coming in at the 9th position after day 1. While Simone Biles will lead the charge at the World Championships, Chiles will take care of the Pan-American contest.

Despite being in the ninth spot on day 1, Chiles dominated the competition in the uneven bars category. She finished at number two on the bars with 14.200 points on day 1. In fact, she almost replicated her success on day 2 and posted 14.100 points on the board. Chiles will be joined by Zoe Miller in the Pan Am team.
