The US Classics and Xfinity Gymnastics Championship asserted every element to keep the adrenaline flowing among the spectators. Following the championships, 10 gymnasts made it to the list of national teams as they flaunted some incredible routines in the SAP arena. However, some champions like Sunisa Lee, could not secure their place due to various reasons. Sunisa Lee took a break from elite gymnastics due to her kidney-related health issues. But the athlete made her comeback to pursue her dreams of the Paris Olympics.

The 20-year-old was training passionately for the same. And her fans had high hopes for her. But even in the middle of the training she had to struggle with the health issues. Despite trying her best to perform, she missed out on her 2023 selection for the women?s national team ahead of health problems. However, she is not the only one who could not secure her place in the team. There is one more champion, who could not made it to the roster.

After Sunisa Lee, one more athlete crashed the national team

In the month of August 2023, two important gymnastics championships took place and made a splash among gymnastics enthusiasts. Each and every athlete put in their foremost efforts and showed off their charismatic skills on the stage.

After the competition concluded, ten gymnasts were selected after the final Xfinity championships, Simone Biles, Skye Blakely, Jordan Chiles, Kayla DiCello, Amelia Disidore, Shilese Jones, Katelyn Jong, Joscelyn Roberson, Tiana Sumanasekera, and Leanne Wong.

But Jade Carey along with Sunisa Lee could not grasp a place in the team.

On day one, Carey performed gracefully but on day two, it seemed that the athlete could not perform with the same power. She secured a total of 104.450 in all-around at the San Jose Championship.

The selected names were announced on Twitter by the Gymternet. Later, a Twitter handle by name Kaylalala re shared the tweet with the caption, ?I will always be a Jade Carey Paris truther.? However, the gymnastics star had an optimistic sight for the Paris Olympics and she was very excited about it.

The 2024 Paris Olympics is a dream for most of the athletes. Many gymnasts have returned to their elite gymnastics after their break, just to pursue the dream of the Olympics. Only after qualifying in the national championships, one can be selected for the team and then represent their country in the Olympics.

Jade Carey, the Olympic gold medalist told the Olympics, ?I feel like this year I’m even more prepared for elite than I was last year.?

She added, that she will be training a little more this year for her elite gymnastics. Certainly, the athlete was disappointed in herself, but there is one more chance to secure a place in the US team.

The NCAA champion, Jade Carey, was unable to clutch her place in the US national team. But she has one more chance and waiting for the 2023 Pan Am games/ World Championship Team selection event which will begin on 19th September in Texas.
