Through their mutual training sessions at the WCC center, Simone Biles and Zoe Miller have developed a connection that goes beyond professional gymnastics. The athletic duo, who teamed up at the 2023 Gymnastics Core Hydration Classic, saw Biles win her eighth AA title while Miller missed the Nationals qualification. They have remained close outside of the gym, whether it is through birthday celebrations when Biles called Miller “mini-me” or supporting Jonathan Owens in New York City.

Recently, Biles gave a Vanity Fair interview in which she thanked her teammates and staff for their amazing support. And soon after Joe Miller reacted to her compliments on Instagram.

Simone Biles receives a hearty message from her teammate

Miller saw an Instagram post from USA Gymnastics that featured Simone’s statement for her squad from Vanity Fair’s piece. Biles said: “I owe that to my teammates;“ adding, “I didn’t think I’d be having fun like this at my age in the gym, but they keep it fun. They’ve been bigger rocks to me than they know.” Miller reposted this and added, “I love her with my whole heart,” on her Instagram story.

Biles called Miller “mini-me,” on her birthday and gave her a new nickname as Biles’ “Baby Daughter Twin” which became very popular amongst people. Biles has always known that Zoe is there for her and Miller’s birthday greeting mirrored the same. She also remarked, “Just a summary of our relationship…never stop being you!” Now, Biles is loved by many and she reciprocates the same energy back but there’s another close bond she cherishes.

Special bond with another teammate

During the college offseason, Chiles, the UCLA standout and elite, trained in Texas with Simone after almost quitting gymnastics. Currently, Chiles has taken a break from collegiate practice for the 2024 Paris Olympics but there was a time she thought to herself, “This(Biles) girl is going to be my friend one day”.

That dream came true when Biles helped set up training in Texas before Tokyo. Later, the two became really close friends and Chiles attended Biles and Owens’ intimate wedding in Cabo, Mexico. In the ever-evolving world of gymnastics, it’s the friendship among teammates that remains the greatest source of strength and inspiration.
