The U.S.A. Gymnastics team, known as “The Final Five,” won the 2016 Summer Olympics. In Rio de Janeiro, “Fierce Five” members Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman were joined by newcomers Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, and Madison Kocian to win gold in the team all-around competition. The five girls grew incredibly close after spending considerable time together preparing.

It is not just their gymnastic moves but also their likes and dislikes that matched so well. Thus, when the questions were thrown away at the ‘Golden Girls,’ they all chipped in to agree on something very unusual!

Simone Biles and team come to a common decision

After a hectic Olympics schedule, when the girls got the chance to sit back and relax, the interviewer, too, did not want to bombard them with serious questions. The questions were not just intended to know more about their likes and dislikes but also how they bonded off the mat. The equation that they shared and what connected the five girls apart from “gymnastics” was a delight to witness.

Thus, during their fun “rapid-fire” round, the first question that was asked was- “Celebrity you most want to meet now that you are famous?” Madison Kocian was quick to answer, “Tori Kelly.” Not trailing far was Simone with her answer, “Zac Efron.”

However, it was Aly Raisman’s answer that made all her team members agree. When Aly came up with Hollywood actress, Blake Lively’s name, the girls could not contest. Expressing her excitement, Aly was heard quoted, “I want to go shopping with her” Even Simone’s answer came in an affirmation. Hearing Blake’s name Laurie was also excited, and was heard saying, “Oh, I would love to go shopping with her.

While they won as a team, each of the five girls had to fight off their individual battles to share the winning moment. After Simone’s final score was revealed, the five members of The U.S.A. gymnastic team climbed onto the podium. Beaming with pride, they cried out, “Final Five.”

They chose to keep the team’s nickname under wraps until the winning moment. Coming from various backgrounds, the five young girls were united with the cause to make their country proud. For the unversed, Raisman and Douglas both were earlier part of the Fierce Five team.
