Apart from boosting a remarkable resume of three Olympic gold medals, she is a daunting mother. A recent social media post reveals that in spite of her motherly responsibilities, she has not lost her gymnastic touch.?

USA’s elite gymnast shows off her touch?

A few days back, American gymnast Gabby Douglas announced her return to gymnastics. She is indeed an example of the phrase that a woman is always serving. Soon after serving as a mother, Gabby Douglas is back on duty to serve her nation. Taking a cue from all these responsibilities of Douglas, Gymnastics Now recently posted a clip of the gymnast, captioning, “Mother Gabby Douglas is SERVING US today.”

Throughout his career, Douglas has been part of a number of historic achievements. At the 2012 London Olympics, she became the first Black woman to win gold in the individual all-around event. Apart from that, In the same event, Douglas and her teammates nicknamed the Fierce Five, went on to win team gold.

The golden triumph continued in the 2016 Olympics at Rio de Janeiro as well. As a part of the Final Five squad that won the team competition, Douglas secured her third gold medal. However, she paused her training after this and did not compete at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. After the hiatus, the gymnastics sensation teased her comeback for the Olympics 2024 this year in July.??

“Get back out on the floor”?

In a post on Instagram few days back, Gabby Douglas announced her coming back, “it’s?so easy to suppress and run away from facing darkness and fears for many years, i’ve had an ache in my heart but i didn’t want to keep carrying anger, pain, sadness, or regret and through my tears and hurt, i’ve found peace… i know i have a huge task ahead of me and i am beyond grateful and excited to get back out on the floor.”

In the lengthy post, the concluding line was probably the most interesting. It read, “let?s do this #2024”.
