20-year-old gymnastics prodigy Suni Lee has a long way to go in her career. The 2020 Olympic all-around champion, was a member of the gold-winning team at the 2019 World Championships and the silver-winning team at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Moreover, presently she is preparing to make it to the 2024 Paris Olympics. However, in Lee’s fast-paced career, she experienced a kidney condition in April. After taking a break from gymnastics, the Auburn star is back to the grind as seen in her latest social media update.

Yesterday, Suni Lee took to her Instagram to share a glimpse of what her life has looked like lately. Amidst the fun and frolic, the gymnast shared an exciting video of her unstoppable practice sessions for the upcoming Paris Olympics Qualification.

How Suni Lee has evolved after her injury?

In her latest Instagram post, Lee shared a video of her performing a flip on the gymnastics bar. She speedily runs to the bar and jumps from it somersaulting. Sharing the video with the caption, “Lately”, Lee added another video in the same post. In this one, the gymnast was seen hanging on a gymnastics pole and using her body force to do rounds around it.

The gymnast has doubled up her efforts after recovering from her kidney condition for the Olympics qualifications. In April, she took to her Twitter to inform her fans about her situation. Lee revealed in her post that she was suffering from a kidney disease.  She explained that her medical staff had prohibited her from participating in the championship for some time.

Moreover, the young gymnast also wrote, “I am blessed and thankful to be working with the best specialized medical team to treat and manage my diagnosis. My focus at this time is my health and recovery.”

The gymnastics prodigy also had to part ways with Auburn University due to her kidney condition.

Last year in November, Lee declared that this year would her last run at Auburn University. The 20-year-old was the star athlete of the institution. At Auburn, she won a series of achievements. The young gymanst received eight All-America honors and the national championship.  Moreover, she was named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year.

However, after her health condition got better, Lee gained clarity for her path ahead. She expressed in the Twitter post that she had a great time in Auburn, but she has planned to focus on her Olympics career now. Lee also added, “I will not stop pursuing my dreams for a bid to Paris in 2024. In fact, this experience has sharpened my vision for the future.”
