The gymnastics competition at the 2016 Rio Olympics saw an impressive display of talent from the USA. The final five garnered the competition all-around and won the Olympics gold medals. Of the five, Simone Biles was the one who took four Olympics medals in gymnastics categories.

After their great winning in the Rio Olympics, the final five were invited to the White House. There Simone did something unexpected with former President Barack Obama. In addition, she even gave a score after tasking him for a split.

In 2016, Biles relished some memories of her trip to the White House during a show, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Although Simone said that the President tried some moves, “I think he got a 10. Because he’s not used to doing it, and he tried it in a suit, so that’s like bonus points.”

Meanwhile, just after they visited the White House, Michelle Obama stated, “And he can’t touch his toes.” On the other hand, Obama joked, “I want you to know that I was going to do, like, a floor routine on the way out with Simone. But we decided it was a little too crowded.”

As the First Lady said that Obama can’t even touch his toes, he also admitted, “And I can’t touch my toes.” Nevertheless, Obama made an effort to work on the task the last five teams gave him. He worked very hard to complete the split, and it was admirable that he came close to succeeding.

The second visit of Biles to the White House

Simone has discussed her Presidential Medal of Freedom award ceremony in various interviews. She won the medal in July. Simone recalled having a good time with her family and her fiance on a chat show. In the interview, she explained how she had achieved everything she wanted.

Despite facing many hurdles and difficulties, Biles has stood still on the ground. She has strong opinions and doesn’t hold back when she speaks them. In addition, she faced severe backlashes when she withdrew her name from the Tokyo Olympics.

Since then, she has discussed the stigma associated with therapy and underlined the need to prioritize mental health. In addition, Biles encouraged other athletes to overcome their fears related to anxiety and depression.
