Making history as the first African American woman, Simone Biles won the all-around title at the 2013 World Gymnastics Championships. She achieved the feat in her senior year of competition. She also won the floor exercise, the vault, and the balancing beam events and received the bronze medal in the vault. Furthermore, at the 2014 World Championships, Biles won four gold medals. Thus, the bar was set high even before her official Olympic debut.

As she was a household name already, everyone was curious to know how she was preparing for her Rio debut. To see how the young star was doing, ‘Women’s Health’ once sat for a talk with Simone. The gymnast had a lot to share when asked about her workout routine.

Simone revealed her go-to workout routine

As she sat down for the conversation, Simone revealed that she started her day around  7:40 a.m. Completing her daily chores, she then hits the gym. From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m, Simone worked rigorously to perfect her moves.

When asked to share her favorite strength-training move, the young gymnast had her answer ready. She said, “I like doing legs because those exercises come pretty easily to me.” She added, “I have good, powerful legs, so I can do conditioning, and they won’t be too sore.”

The young gymnast also shared that she was not that fond of ‘stomach conditioning.’ She added, “I don’t like it at all! It’s my least favorite. I like laughing better for an ab workout than actually doing abs! “Simone Biles left no stones unturned to make her presence felt in Rio. And as was expected from her, she created another record.

When she made her debut at Olympics, she said, “I’m not the next Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps – I’m the first Simone Biles,” Determined to make it big, the young girl from the small town of Ohio amazed the world with her incredible performance.
