

Simone Biles is a renowned face in the world of gymnasts. Known for her outspoken self, the 25-year-old gymnast has braved hurdles off the mat. With a total of seven Olympic and 25 world championship medals, she is but the GOAT of gymnastics. For fans, seeing their favorite standing tall at the podium is always inspiring. But the road to that podium is never easy.

The hurdles are many, some very dark. One such dark and traumatic incident happened with Simone when she was violated by USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar. Empathizing on the same, an archived video shows Márta Károlyi sharing her view.

A tough road for Simone

The gymnastic federation was placed under the radar when gymnastics’ big names like Simone came out in the open. Showing a lot of courage, she even logged a formal complaint. On being asked, “How could they have not known?” Márta replied, “You couldn’t suspect anything.”
Elaborating further, the team coordinator replied that even when the parents were enquired whether they knew about the ongoing incident, they had no affirmative answer. She stated, “If their parents couldn’t see, how I could.” The incidents that unfolded were unfortunate!
Simone Biles always took a stand
This is not the first time Simone has taken a stand for herself. Even when she was young, she showed enormous courage to defy her coach’s orders. Being a part of the team is every athlete’s dream; even for Simone, that meant the world.

But then she decided to take a tough call. Prioritizing herself and knowing her capabilities, the gymnastic maestro refused to perform the difficult vault Amanar. Coming down heavily on her, the coach said, “No wonder you didn’t make the cut.”
