After requesting her followers to pray for Damar Hamlin, Simone Biles has another plea for everyone. Hamlin’s tragic on-field accident has set the entire sports community grieving and praying for the young footballer. Biles, who is also the fiance of NFL star Jonathan Owens, seems to be still shaken from the Hamlin incident and is worried about other footballer’s health too.

Via a post in her recent Instagram story, Biles has attempted to break people’s general opinion about the athlete and their “glamorous” life. Here is what the star athlete expressed.

Simone Biles makes another appeal to fans

Damar Hamlin’s incident is an example that an athlete’s life is not just fun and glamorous all the time. Biles, who is also an advocate of players’ positive mental health, has shone a light on this topic via Instagram. The star gymnast reposted NFL player Joshua Kelly’s wife, Mikaela’s post on her story

In this post, while talking about a footballer’s life, Mikaela said, “Stop dehumanizing these players and seeing them only as a form of entertainment just because they make money playing a sport they love.” In the caption of her post, she also wrote, “You may see all the glitz and glam, we have always seen the pain (both physically and mentally) these men experience.

Although Biles did not write any caption on her story, the words in Mikaela’s post were enough to deliver the gymnast’s message to her followers.

Over the years, hundreds of studies suggest that on-field accidents and injuries are higher in American football. Hamlin’s tragic incident has not just worried Biles, but her fiance Jonathan Owens too. The footballer is also concerned about the safety of his fellow footballers.

Soon after Hamlin’s condition was reported, athletes and fans around the globe started sending their prayers for the young footballer and his family.

Owens was also quick to post a message for Hamlin’s speedy recovery. The NFL star also mentioned how rough football can get sometimes. He wrote, “Dangerous Game We Play Man, I Pray Everybody Stay Safe”.
