The holiday season is almost here, with Thanksgiving falling on November 23 this year, which is less than a month away. Before the holidays, there are some ongoing events, including the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile, which is now approaching its conclusion. Team USA has been able to expand its medal count, thanks in part to Jordan Chiles.

Jordan Chiles played a pivotal role in leading the US Women’s gymnastics team to the all-around gold. They secured the honor with a lead of just under five points ahead of their close rivals from Brazil. Canada secured the bronze, trailing by an additional seven points. Chiles faced tough competition from Brazil’s most decorated gymnast, Rebeca Andrade. However, she remains undaunted and quite composed.

As though the holiday season is already here

For Jordan Chiles, it is almost as though the holiday season has begun. She shared a story on Instagram with pictures of Christmas decorations, gingerbread men, falling snow, and Christmas trees. There were also the customary glass of milk and cookies set aside for good Saint Nicholas to eat. To that, she added the caption, “Mentally I’m here.”

Jordan Chiles said, after winning the gold, “There’s so many more dreams in this little body of mine. It was really cool to be the flagbearer, then coming out here to win gold with an amazing team.” She wanted to add more to her medal tally. The 22-year-old was in a celebratory mood and had more to share on her social media. Chiles also shared a video of her college’s football team, the UCLA Bruins in action, in the same story. They were running a play. She also recorded a video of herself with two of her best friends at the same venue on that occasion. Before she decides to either compete in Paris or return to her college, she would face Andrade once more.
