As Jordan Chiles looks poised to reign supreme on the Olympics mat, she’s facing a lot of outside noise prior to that. It’s a rare occurrence for her to get embroiled in controversies, but even if she has slightly, she has a strong support system to back her in her dear mother. Earlier, she took a strong stance for her best friend Simone Biles, and now, Karma rewards her with maternal backing.

During yesterday’s NCAA showdown between LSU and Ohio State, renowned coach Jeff Graba and DD Breaux remarked that while Chiles prepares for the Olympics, she shouldn’t consume popcorn because it’s unhealthy. However, the comments sparked backlash, and the Olympic champion’s mother has now jumped in to her rescue, being the doting mother she is.

Chiles’ Superwoman saves the day

As always, Jordan Chiles’s mother Gina Chiles is the first to get behind the Olympic Champion. Reacting to the asinine remarks from Graba and Breaux, Gina posted a hilarious Rihanna GIF on Twitter/X. Rihanna can be seen seated in the stands, devouring popcorn unflinchingly. Although the post didn’t have any caption, it is evident what incident prompted Gina to post this.

Graba and Breaux were commentating during the LSU Tigers game and the discussion veered to Jordan Chiles’ diet. “I’d be willing to bet she won’t eat popcorn because she’s training for the Olympics”, Breaux expressed to which the Auburn coach added, “She shouldn’t”. The comment didn’t sit well, neither with fans nor with Chiles’s mother. Her mother fiercely backed her daughter with reckless abandon, the stuff of which real boss women are made of. Her mother tries to showcase an idea with this gif that Jordan Chiles gorging on popcorn would have no bearing on her performances and she is free to do as she desires.

While some users also hoped the 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist would show up eating popcorn, it’s highly unlikely. As she gears for the Paris showdown, she is making sure to keep Biles in an excellent state of mind as well.

While Simone Biles stands as one of the greatest American gymnasts, Jordan Chiles is surely treading in the foothills of greatness. Biles and Chiles are gymnastic besties and amid the controversy after Jonathan Owens’ remarks, Chiles has thrown herself behind the GOAT.

In an interview, the 22-year-old reminded fans how tough the life of a gymnastics star like Simone Biles can be. “She’s the goat I don’t care what people say she is a legit the goat the people be saying all these crazy things and I’m like do you not understand as an athlete what she goes through?“, Chiles expressed her anger. With the Paris Olympics in sights, the duo is hoped to bring glittering glories to America.
