Millionaire Now Simone Biles Owned Her First-Ever Car at 16

Simone Arianne Biles is presently one of the richest athletes. In 2021, she made it to the Forbes list of highest-paid female athletes. While the athlete is always mindful of the way she spends, there are times when she decides to let loose. Cars are Biles’s weakness, and the only time she lets herself splurge. Simone Biles has a huge collection of luxury cars resting in her garage. Though a millionaire at 25, Biles’s first car wasn’t the one she got on her own. Rather, it was a gift from a special someone.

Simone Biles was just 15 years old when she learned how to drive. In one of her books, Biles gave a detailed account of the events that led to her getting her first car. Even when she was expecting to get a car for her 16th birthday, Biles’s parents managed to surprise her with the gift.

In her book titled Courage to Soar, Simone Biles recalled the time she got her first car. Biles’s parents had agreed to get her a car for her 16th birthday. Therefore, she didn’t waste time signing herself up for driving lessons and the permit test that followed. But the excitement made her bug her father to let her drive his truck. However, Papa Biles wanted the gymnast to get acquainted with the wheels so that she’d be comfortable with them during her test.

Hence, Biles followed her parents to the auto shop to select a car. Going with the safest option, Papa Biles went for a Ford Focus. However, he did let $imoney choose the color and the extraordinary queen chose turquoise blue. However, it wasn’t until later that the car was to be brought home. After the selection, Simone Biles went to her international tournaments and aced every one of them. Biles claims that the excitement served as a distraction which was why she performed as well as she did.

Her 16th birthday arrived when she was still on tour. Therefore, she was expecting to see her new car in the driveway when she returned home. However, when she couldn’t find it in the garage as well, the jetlagged Biles went off to sleep. She was woken up by her sister who gave her zebra-printed car interiors for her birthday. Excited Biles went to Papa Biles to let her drive it. However, Ron Biles did not comply.

When Adria gave her the printed cover, Simone ran to her parent’s room. She asked her father to let her try it out in his truck. But the elder brother Ron asked her to wait for five minutes. This made the excited teen a bit suspicious of the situation. Finally getting up, all of them moved to the garage to fulfill the young gymnast’s wish. However, what Simone Biles saw next made her jump with excitement.

As Simone Biles entered her garage, there it was, her brand new turquoise-blue Ford Focus. Later, it was revealed that it was planned all along. Her parents had sought help from their neighbor to hide the car in their garage. It was when her sister was giving her the gift, that the neighbor was setting up the car in Biles’ garage.

Post that, Biles decorated her car with zebra-printed interiors. Looking at the result, Papa Biles exclaimed, “Your car just looks n*ts.” However, since Simone Biles loved it, she retorted, “It’s my own special touch.” While the Ford was her first, her garage is now lined with Mercedes and Range Rovers, from SUVs to convertibles. Some time back, she was about to add a Tesla to the collection. However, the gymnast managed to hold back on this one.
