Paul Skenes was the number one draft pick in the 2023 event. Doing justice to his reputation, the 21-year-old bagged a record deal with the Pittsburgh Pirates. According to the reports, Skenes was handed a $9.2 million signing bonus last year. Such an amount was a first in MLB as none of the teams dished out so much money to a rookie. The previous record was of Spencer Torkelson, who bagged an $8.42 million signing bonus by the Detroit Tigers in 2020.

Well, according to the calculations of MLB, a player can usually earn five times more than his signing bonus. This would make Skenes stand at a whopping $46 million deal if he were to continue his fine run in the tournament. This way, Skenes would surpass Olivia Dunne’s $ 6 million net worth soon. However, Dunne doesn’t seem to be bothered about the money games at all. Instead, she is all ready to cheer for her boyfriend.

The LSU Tigers gymnastics star seems to be brimming with joy for her boyfriend. Although Skenes is yet to receive a call from his MLB team, Dunne’s plans are all sorted. Speaking about the same, Dunne stated, “I hope soon! I’m starting to get all my merch ready. I have my outfits picked out… He’s a great guy, and we support each other through everything. He definitely makes me a better person.” 

She also uploaded a TikTok video where Dunne was spotted picking matching outfits. The 21-year-old also had Skenes’ name printed on her jersey. Dunne flaunted a pair of baseball gloves too. Thus, it was evident that Dunne would be the first to accompany Skenes to the stadium, cheering at the top of her voice.
