As the 2023 NFL season is raging in full force, teams from different conferences are all girded up to clinch this year’s Vince Lombardi trophy. Along similar lines, the NFC North’s Green Bay Packers are leaving no stone unturned to assert their dominance on the field, and hence they bagged another victory on 19th November against the Los Angeles Chargers. Interestingly, to cheer the Packers from the stands, gymnastics queen Simone Biles also graced her presence at Lambeau Field.

Simone Biles was present at Lambeau Field to watch NFL safety Jonathan Owens in action. A defensive line for the Green Bay Packers, Owens had four tackles as the Packers beat the Los Angeles Chargers 23-20. The Packers are presently third in the NFC North table, behind the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings.

Perhaps spurred on by Simone Biles’ presence in the stands, Jonathan Owens helped the Packers to a slender win. He replied to a post on X from the Packers’ official account. Owens wrote, “Man it was so loud out there today. Big time win at home.” The first tweet in the thread went thus, #PACKERS WIN! #LACvsGB | #GoPackGo.”

It was not the first time Simone Biles was present there, either. She braved negative temperatures in the past to watch the Packers play against the Vikings. That game resulted in a 24-10 loss for the Packers. Their fortunes were different on this occasion as they are now 4-6 for the season. They have a crunch game coming up soon.

The Green Bay Packers face the NFC North table-topping Detroit Lions next. That game will take place on Thanksgiving morning at Ford Field. Nevertheless, as cheers erupted in the Lambeau field when Packers clinched the victory against Chargers, the spectator who shined bright in the stands was Biles, who was there supporting her husband. And, to cope with the temperature of Frozen tundra, the gymnast was seen donning a black overcoat, all while flaunting her black shades.

With the holiday season set to begin soon, it seems likely Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens will spend more time apart. The latter has games every week all the way to New Year’s Day 2024. As for the former, she will train with an eye on the Paris Olympics. Regardless, their commitment to each other is commendable, at the very least. It remains to be seen how much quality time they can muster, given it will be busy times for them both.
