It all happened after Kelce and Biles were nominated for the “People’s Choice Athlete of the Year Award,” putting them on opposing sides of the fence. He caused a stir when he declared, “I always say that the men are the catch,” during the interview, which prompted criticism on social media. Now, the brewing dispute is back in the limelight after the latest episode of the “New Heights” podcast, which is hosted by Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce. They took a dig at Green Bay Packers safety Owens’s exclusion from the nominee list.

Simone Biles shares top spot with Travis Kelce

The Kelce brothers’ snide banter was shared by @m_corbetta on X with the caption, ““How is Simone Biles on this but her boyfriend isn’t?” Jason Kelce is a gift.” In the clip, Jason asked,  “How is Simone Biles on this but her boyfriend isn’t?” Travis first casually replied, “How am I on this?” Then went on to make a crude remark regarding Owens’ football prowess.

“Owens? Played some good ball over there, I guess,” Travis said after putting away his shared laugh with Jason. Fans of the seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles who is making her third appearance in the Olympics this year, weren’t letting go of this disrespect. While this drama saw divided reactions online, Page Six’s feature highlighted, “notably failing to mention that his relationship with Taylor Swift may have helped secure him the honor(nomination).”

Kelce made fun of Owens linking it to what he said in December that he was a better “catch” than his wife Simone Biles. While there was more to it, Owens also revealed that he had no idea who Biles was when they connected on the dating app Raya back in 2020.
