One just cannot keep Simone Arianne Biles and Jonathan Owens out of the headlines. The US power couple recently ventured into a joyous outing. However, as fate would have it, eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted an inconsistency and made their voices heard. One recent outing where they were spotted involved the Chicago Red Sox MLB game.

The couple was seen donning the colors of Chicago as they beamed with the visible joy of being in each other’s company. But as it appears, their fans conveyed a complaint. As Biles hails from Texas, the Astros fans were frustrated after watching Biles supporting Chicago. While the fans might have been true to their assessment, Jonathan Owens debunked their claims.

Jonathan Owens justifies donning Chicago colors

The Chicago Bears’ star posted pictures of their outing captioning it, “Can’t describe what my life is like when she asks about it #Year7.” However, fans started to tease the couple stating that they were donning the wrong jersey. What that meant was the fact that the fans expected the duo to support the Houston Astros. Sadly, for the fans, Owens debunked their speculations and stated that he was from St. Louis. 

As a matter of fact, witnessing Simone Biles in a color other than the Astros was indeed startling. She is an ardent fan of the Houston Astros and has supported the team publicly multiple times. In fact, Biles had also shared the honor of throwing the first pitch for the Astros a couple of times. The initial opportunity came in 2016, while the Astros authorities approached the Olympian once again in 2019. However, keeping aside all the MLB hubbub, both Biles and Owens will have their task cut out as they stare into a potentially massive 2024.

Jonathan Owens was recently roped in by the Chicago Bears for a whopping $4.75m deal. While the sum is surely massive, his responsibilities will increase significantly as well. The Bears have shown a lot of faith in Owens. They would definitely like Owens to repay their faith by replicating his stupendous antics for the Green Bay Packers last season. 

On the flip side of the coin lies Simone Biles. Forced to withdraw from the Tokyo Olympics, Biles is eyeing redemption in Paris. Moreover, with the Summer Olympics knocking the door, fans too are awaiting the return of Biles to the mat. And according to reports, Biles will be kicking off her campaign at the US Classics in May hoping to clinch gold and march on her way to glory.
