While her 4x Olympic gold medals are a highlight, her relationship with Jonathan Owens is also an exciting part of her life. Both Owens and Biles seem to be madly in love with each other and are not afraid to flaunt the same. Biles’ NFL football safety husband went gaga over the US gymnast when the duo were vacationing in Hawaii. On the flip side, Biles openly expressed how proud she was after Owens landed a $4.75m deal with the Chicago Bears. 

However, all the stories of love and affection started in quite a contrasting manner. Biles was very much judgemental at every step before accepting Owens as her partner. In a recent revelation, Simone Biles stated how she reasoned about Owens’ involvement with females merely by observing a dog!

As part of the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024, ‘CallHerDaddy’ teamed up to interview renowned athletes. Kicking off the proceedings is Simone Biles, who opened up about her initial experience with Jonathan Owens. Speaking about their first date, Biles mentioned that she went to Owens’ house since it was lockdown at the moment. Once she stepped inside the house, Biles was met with a jolly canine, who seemed far too excited and happy to see her.

However, moments after the interaction, the dog urinated all over the place, much to Owens’ embarrassment. But for Biles, this was a welcome sign for her relationship. Reflecting on the incident, the US gymnast reasoned that Owens did not have a lot of female visitors at his place. This could have resulted in the dog getting over-joyed and urinating itself. Biles said, “But then I walked in and his dog was so excited he peed all over re floor. That’s, and I was like, I was like, maybe girls aren’t here very often. Great sign.” 

Such an elaborate justification left the host in awe. But apart from her experience with Owens’ dog, Biles also had another interesting bit of news to share. 

Biles mistook Jonathan Owens to be a father

Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens met through an online dating app, Raya. This was back in 2020, when the world was plagued by the dark shadows of COVID-19. Amidst the murmuring bulletins of terrors, Biles seemingly got hit by the cupid’s arrow when she came across Owens’ profile. Finding several of the NFL athlete’s physical attributes cute, Biles delved deep into his profile. 

When she saw a picture of Owens with a kid, Biles was convinced that the NFL- football safety was a father. Much to her relief, the US gymnast queen soon found out that the kid was his nephew, and hence blossomed a full-fledged romance between the two. After dating for almost three years, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens tied the knot on April 2023.
