A plea for support and recognition

Recently, a user on X, going by the name “pommel horse stans,” shared a post shedding light on the overlooked status of UCLA Club Gymnastics. As an alum, he expressed his passion for the sport but emphasized the limited support from the university for club sports. He further highlighted the critical role fundraising plays in nurturing gymnastics at various levels and appealed for donations to bolster the club’s growth.

Interestingly, this plea was in response to a post shared yesterday by Josh Lim, an active participant in UCLA Club Gymnastics. He echoed the call for financial support and encouraged contributions to aid their annual fundraising efforts.

In a subsequent post, Josh Lim is known for his dual life of enjoying the UCLA experience in Pauley and passionately competing for UCLA Club Gymnastics. He reiterated the importance of fundraising to send gymnasts to competitions. Josh extended a heartfelt appeal to the Gym Twitter community, expressing gratitude for any possible donations to support the club’s ongoing efforts. However, it is worth noting that UCLA Gymnastics cultivates a strong team culture leading into the 2024 season.
