Simone Biles is the wonder woman of gymnastics. Renowned for her all-around performance as an artistic gymnast with seven Olympic medals, she holds the record of having the highest number of World medals at 25. Olympic medallists and World Champions might seem like people different from the rest, but it is partially incorrect. Their behaviors are similar to people their age. 

Her grandparents, Ron and Nellie Biles, have been instrumental in pursuing a career in gymnastics. Starting at the age of 8, Simone has shown tremendous progress in acquiring the skill and has made all her stakeholders proud. They practice a disciplined life at home which didn’t seem to agree well with the monster within Simone.

Simone Biles chose to rebel

Simone was formally adopted by her maternal grandparents at the age of 6. They made her feel at home so much that she considered them her mom and dad. Nevertheless, she unleashed a different avatar in the gym which had their grandparents meet her Coach quite often. Her coach, Aimee, said that she would just be flinging her body around and not be committed to exercising her fullest potential. Precisely, Biles didn’t want to listen to dos and don’ts all the time. 

Her coach attributes this bratty behavior to her disciplined life at home. Biles found the gym a place to exhibit the naughty child within, sometimes rebel too. The coach explained, “She wasn’t going to act that way at home.”

To bring her back on track, the coach would have either Ron or Nellie at least once a week to make them aware of what had happened. Although Biles knew someone always had an eye on her, she only resorted to mumbling or under-the-breath talking. The coach said, “She was never outwardly defiant.”  

Simone as an elder sibling

Adria Biles is the Olympian gymnast’s baby sister. They grew up together in foster care until they were adopted and brought home to Texas. Years later, the younger sibling, too, followed Simone’s path and trained in gymnastics. 

The Biles sisters share similar looks. However, Adria is 7 inches taller than her. When asked about how it felt to look similar to the gymnast champion, she said that she began to take any compliments that came by because it was tedious for her to explain to people, especially those who didn’t understand the language she spoke. Also, it saved a lot of her time.

They both share a great connection. Simone is very affectionate towards Adria as she considers her a baby. Also by being protective, she justifies that is what family is all about. Adria also threw light on the bratty side of Simone when she said that they fought with each other, stole each other’s clothes, and were best friends.
