The gymnastic virtuoso Simone Biles, who has the entire world rooting for her, doesn’t have a smooth childhood to look back at. Spending a couple of years in foster care was nothing but nightmarish. But one thing that felt like a cool breeze was her sister’s presence. Adria Biles, the one person who never left the Olympian’s side since birth, is more of a child to her than a sister.

The reason being, before their grandparents, Nellie, and Ron Biles, could adopt them, they were each other’s pillar of strength. Recognized by CNN Heroes for the inspiration she is, the 26-year-old reflected on days of sleeping hungry before landing in foster care. Currently functioning as the most decorated partner of Friend of the Children, the Olympian shares a throwback snap with her ‘rock‘.

In her Instagram story, Biles shared a childhood picture with her sister with the caption “my actual rock”. From the grainy snap, the emotion could be felt enough to shower love on the strong sisters. Since their biological mom struggled with alcohol and drug abuse, the unfortunate sisters struggled to recall any good moments from juvenescence for long. But now, blessed with an amazing family, the sisters have embraced life as it is. As a cherry on top, their apple of the eye niece Ronnie has powdered all the traumas they bore lifelong.

Having said so, Biles’ association with a non-profit organization stands by the less privileged foster children. Having walked past a childhood carved by traumas, Simone Biles emerged as the most decorated gymnast in history. But she’s a family person to the core who likes to take the crown off her head sometimes.

 Sister dates are a mandate

A tonne of mutual friends and reunion parties are everything the sisters look forward to. Looking at them now, the world can’t hold tears tracing back to the hardships they had to go through. But the sisters don’t bother and step out in coordinated attires often.

Captioning her Instagram story as “Sister date night”, the elder one paired a photo with it. Interestingly, the sisters looked indistinguishable despite having an age gap. Both donned black dresses and hair tied up in box braids. “She’s also kind and humble, and I’m so proud to have her as my sister,” said the younger one, who once walked in Simone Biles’ gymnastic footsteps. Now sporting different careers, the Biles pair is the perfect sister duo everyone idealizes.
