Simone Biles, while steadfast in her disposition, had her doubts about Jonathan Owens initially! The power couple of the sporting realm, Owens and Biles’ love affair, dates back to the pandemic era. While the world was bracing for an unknown enemy, love was brewing like a phoenix amidst the ashes for Biles and Owens. It was Simone Biles who came across the NFL star in 2020 in a dating app. Finding Owens cute, the US gymnast sensation dropped him a message. However, Owens initially was not aware of Biles’ antics. 

But as fate would have it, the duo soon began to bond well. In August 2020, Biles and Owens, for the first time, posted their pictures on Instagram. After dating for three years, Biles and Owens tied the knot in a private ceremony in April 2023. Interestingly, even before their entire love story transpired, Simone Biles had a hilarious doubt about her NFL husband.

Simone Biles was lovestruck the moment she saw Jonathan Owens’ profile on the Raya app. However, even after the butterflies in her stomach started fluttering, Biles decided to go through the NFL football safety’s socials. And much to her surprise, Biles found Owens with a kid! This came as a huge shock for her as Biles would mention in her recent appearance in the ‘CallherDaddy’ podcast. Reminiscing the incident, Biles stated, “Then I went to his profile and I didn’t know it was his nephew and I was like, he has a Kid. Oh no, you thought he Thought he had a kid.”  

Fortunately for Biles, her suspicions turned out to be vague, as the kid in question was Owens’ nephew. Speaking about her initial impression of Owens, the American gymnast queen described him as “cute”. She also shared details about how Owens’ light eyes and dimples made her feel weak on her knees. Thus, such a story was bound to bloom. And just after their first meeting, Biles decided to marry her man.

Biles and Owens met for the first time at Owens’ home due to the lockdown restraints. Soon after coming back from her outing, Biles startled her family by announcing, “I’m gonna marry him.” However, when asked, the US gymnast could properly justify her decision. She said, “I don’t know why I said that. I don’t know what it is, but I just felt something. It just like felt different.” 

Surely, Biles did not regret her decision. Owens has been found, on many occasions, publicly going gaga over his better half. During their recent vacation in Hawaii, Owens was lovestruck by a series of pictures that Biles shared on her Instagram. And much to the joy of the 4x Olympic gold medalist, Owens did not shy away from openly admitting his feelings.
