Simone Biles dreamed of a fairytale romance and found her Prince Charming in the form of Jonathan Owens. However, before the couple became a sensation amongst fans, the gymnast dated WWE star Stacey Ervin Jr. Their relationship lasted for three years before the two eventually called it quits. Yet their friends and family haven’t lost touch.

Recently, Biles’ childhood best friend, Rachel Moore, took to Instagram to wish her mother a Happy Birthday. Unexpectedly, one of the many heartwarming messages that poured into the comments was that of Ervin Jr. What did he have to say on the occasion? Let’s take a look!

Since Biles began dating Ervin Jr. in 2017, her friends and family have also been following him on social media. And while it is unclear if the gymnast’s family still talks to the former wrestler, a few indications recently surfaced. Rachel Moore, Biles’ childhood best friend and to-be maid of honor, recently posted an adorable photo that attracted many comments.

Rachel posted a photo of her and her mother, marking Mama Moore’s birthday. The caption for the photo read, “happy 60th birthday to the most beautiful soul”, along with some words of gratitude and excitement to celebrate with her. The adorable mother-daughter duo garnered many wishes from fans.

But what stood out was Biles’ ex’s comment. Stacey Ervin Jr. seemed to still have good relations with the Moore family. As a result, he also wished, “Happy birthday, Mama Moore! 60 never looked so good!”. While the gymnast and the former wrestler may have gone separate ways, friends and family still seem to hold no grudges against Ervin Jr.

 

Currently, Ervin Jr. is a fitness influencer. He did not quit the fitness industry even though a heartbreaking moment led to him giving up on his other dreams.

Stacey’s plans to make it big in WWE backfired

While Biles rocked the beams and bars during gymnastics championships, Ervin Jr. wanted to make a name for himself in the wrestling industry. He joined NXT in 2018 and even participated in matches. However, his career came to a tragic end.

A year after his WWE debut, the former wrestler had to quit after an accident. In an Instagram post, Ervin Jr. made the heartbreaking announcement and wrote about how “The threads of life are so interesting the way they weave a story.” While he was sad about the end of his dream, support from friends, family, and fans got him through. And now, fitness is still his main focus as he coaches others.
