Beacon, the Golden Charm of Team USA

In a heartwarming gesture, the world was introduced to an unexpected cheerleader on September 29th, just hours before the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium. The golden dogs beacon and tulsa’s Instagram page shared a reel featuring Beacon, a 3-year-old Golden Retriever, holding a USA flag in his mouth alongside a list of women gymnasts for the 2023 championship. The caption says, “2023 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships. Antwerp, Belgium. registered pet therapy dog Beacon says ?LET?S DO THIS!? USA ??”

Beacon and his handler, Tracey Callahan Molnar, are part of USA Gymnastics’ innovative pet therapy program, providing emotional support to gymnasts. Beacon, now a celebrity in his own right at the championships, roamed the arena floor and hallways, offering a friendly face and a wagging tail to anyone in need.
