The Friday night is all set to focus on Olivia Dunne in the blue leotard once again, as LSU is on the brink of another prized match-up. This time, the Baton Rouge would sell the urge of witnessing the Auburn locking horns against the Tigers. However, Olivia Dunne showed her highest-scoring floor exercise just a week ago. Since then, the 21-year-old social media favorite could only think about continuing her symphony on the mat.

So, on that note, Friday night might witness another high-octane rundown in Pete Maravich Assembly Center. However, the night could provide another gymnastic starlet with a favorable arena. The 19-year-old talent is showcasing her inception season in the blue leotard this year. But that would be a small pitch depicting her dream for the upcoming days.

Keeping the stakes high and journey inspirational for future generations

Slipping a nick of the present mindset in the LSU camp, Olivia Dunne’s HC Jay Clark could only confess about the concerted effort. “The mindset going into this week is the same as it is every week, and that’s to continue to improve and advance forward,” he added. But for freshman Konnor McClain, the stakes are higher than the college gymnastics. In the continued Black History Month celebration, the 2022 US National Champion’s snippet from one of her previous interviews surfaced. It was the same occasion, but from last year where she joined fellow US elite gymnasts to talk about her goal. “… our dream is also to inspire other young girls to do what we do”, Olivia Dunne’s budding teammate claimed at that time.

Eventually, Team USA highlighted her statement in their IG post as they were celebrating Black History Month. The sporting body cultivated the same thought as well in the caption- “Paving the way for future generations”. But apart from scouring LSU’s performance this season, McClain had a debacle to continue with her “Olympic goal”. But in that criteria as well she coped with the situation without tinkering pieces.

The Olympic dream wasn’t easy for Olivia Dunne’s packmate

The coping ability with elite gymnastics and college routine doesn’t come easy if you’re not Jade Carey. But for Konnor McClain, the situation till now has been quite accommodating. With the continuation of NCAA gymnastics, the Las Vegas native has been continuing the routine training with her club, Gymcats Gymnastics. That may give a harrowing feeling, but for McClain, it is about trying a few extra gymnastics notes to stay on the boat. However, the same sentences did not apply to gymnasts like Jordan Chiles and Olivia Dunne. Jordan kept herself away from the NCAA level last year.

But for Olivia Dunne, the situation came out to be dismantled by double whammies. The first pain factor for her was her prolonged foot injury. Another factor that worked against Olivia Dunne was her incapability to manage both schedules at the same time. That’s where Konnor McClain proved to be the unmatched inspiration.
