Ever since Simone Biles, the seven-time Olympic medalist & an artistic gymnast started dating Jonathan Owens, an NFL star, fans have shown keenness to learn about her blossoming love life as much as they want to know about her comeback to elite competitions. Simone and Owens have never shied away from sharing moments they have together. Although they appear like two pods in a pea, they do have a fair share of differences.

In 2021, in an ‘Ask me a question’ segment on her Instagram story, Simone cherry-picked a few and shared interesting stories and answers. One of her answers reveals a story of the differences in their tastes.

Simone Biles loves him although he disagreed

In July 2021, during her downtime in the Tokyo Olympics, Simone conducted a Q&A session on her Instagram story. Renowned for her spontaneity and openness, the four-time Olympic gold medallist gave responses exciting enough to ease the fans’ curiosity. Someone asked whether she wants to have kids in the future. Simone replied, “One day in the far future.” 

Furthermore, the gymnastics legend shared a funny experience with her boyfriend, Owens, during the Q&A. It was during a date night at a restaurant. “I told him he had to try the cheesesteak eggrolls, and he said no because he doesn’t like eggs. LMAOOOOO.”

Although she was excited for him to taste the egg rolls, he didn’t hesitate to say “no.” Fair to say; they respect one another and accept their differences. Simone continued. “I still love him,” reiterating her unconditional love for him.

A match made in heaven

Simone gushed every time she spoke about Owens. In an interview in 2021, she said, “He’s a real man. I love him. We have a great time together.” Adding more detail, she said their personalities match right up, and have the same sense of humor. 

The Houston Texans player wasn’t even aware of how famous Simone was when they started dating. “Her work ethic was really the first thing that caught my eye,” Owens said in an interview. Also, he said he never watched gymnastics before he started talking to her. 

“It was just like, ‘Oh, she has a lot of followers’” he continued. He thought she must be pretty good at something. When he told people about her, he said that people commented: “‘Simone Biles?! You for real, the gymnast?!’ And I’m like, ‘Man, she’s good like that?!’”
