While it was mostly due to requirements, the couple managed some dreamy shots marking their union. Donning a white dress and holding a bouquet, Biles later posted the pictures on her socials, revealing that she was finally ‘Mrs. Owens.’

In a quick AMA session, Biles revealed more details about the hurried legal ceremony and what was to come up next. Just like her plan, a destination wedding was now in tow. She revealed how the legal wedding forced the couple to order outfits and accessories at the last moment. Nevertheless, the ceremony was special for many reasons.

When a fan asked her if she wrote her own vows, Biles revealed that she had them saved for the actual destination wedding. While the couple did say their vows at the courthouse, it seemed like they were “basic vows”. The gymnast in the Instagram AMA session confessed, “idk how I’m supposed to get through it. I was so teary & choked up at the courthouse ceremony & it was just the basic vows”. Since Biles has always been open about her emotions and shared the most minute details of her life with fans, her shedding tears at her wedding didn’t come as a surprise.

What is the next destination for the couple?

Now that one of their wedding milestones is complete, both Biles and Owens are prepped up for their destination wedding. While the location hasn’t been mentioned, the gymnast has given many hints on how it’s planned outside the country and probably along the sea. Incidentally, the couple also plans to go on a ‘mini-moon’ later.

Since football season is approaching, the couple decided to hold back on a proper honeymoon for now. Instead, they have planned a shorter holiday after the wedding. Biles has hinted at Bora-Bora, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet. Now that the newlyweds are all set for a big celebration, fans can’t wait to see what their destination wedding would look like.
