In the same year, pop Icon Beyonce also released her sixth studio album, ‘Lemonade’. The album became one of Beyonce’s most acclaimed works.

While Biles was making history and Beyonce’s songs were on all radio stations, famous journalist and author Emma Gray posed an interesting question on Twitter. What would happen if Biles and Beyonce came together?

In 2016, a famous journalist, podcaster, and author of the book ‘A Girl’s Guide to Joining the Resistance’, Emma Gray, posted an interesting tweet. The MSNBC columnist tweeted, “if Beyonce and Simone Biles were in the same room, would the world just implode?” Emma tweeted her thoughts on Aug 8, when the Rio 2016 Games were in full swing. Simone made history that year, winning four golds and one bronze.

Both Simone Biles and Beyonce are legends in their own right. Beyonce made her debut in 1997 and gradually became one of the most popular pop singers of all time. The pop icon has sold over 200 million albums worldwide and is also the most-awarded female artist of all time. Beyonce has also won 28 Grammys out of 78 nominations.

Biles, on the other hand, is a record-setting gymnast. From 2013 to 2019, Biles won 25 medals at the world championships, of which 19 were golds. In Rio, Biles became the first American woman to win four golds in a single Olympic Games.

As of 2022, Simone Biles is taking a break from gymnastics and prioritizing her mental health. The Olympian withdrew midway through the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. However, in June, Beyonce released her seventh studio album, Renaissance. Her last studio album came out six years ago.

In 2016, Simone Biles starred in a Nike commercial. The commercial Simone training, while Beyonce’s 2013 tack, ‘Jealous’, played in the background. Biles’ mother, Nellie, narrated the spot. It’s not known if this commercial inspired Emma’s tweet. However, Emma’s tweet, Simone, winning four golds, and the commercial coincided.

It’s been six years since Emma pictured the pop icon and the Olympic legend in the same room. However, the two personalities are yet to be seen together. While the world may not implode, the fans of both legends will surely go into a frenzy if Biles and Beyonce ever come together.
