Proving her skills yet again, Serena dominated the court on her final day. In her last singles match, Serena went down 5-7, 7-6, 1-6 against Australia’s ace tennis player Ajla Tomljanovic at the U.S. Open.

Serena has always been true to herself. She embraced all backlashes with utmost dignity and elegance. A strong sports personality, Serena encouraged young people worldwide to brave the hurdles. With four Olympic gold medals in her bag, Serena never failed to amaze her admires.

Braving an array of hostilities, Serena transcended ordinary to achieve “extraordinary” feats. Often called for being too aggressive on the court, Serena fought like a lioness. She never missed her chance to assert her dominance. Now with the retreat of the legend, there is a lot for the younger generation to look up to.

For young Simone, Serena was always an inspiration. In her own profession, Simone had to fight back against the taboos. Simone has earlier expressed her adoration for the Willams sisters in a recorded message. She said, “The impact Venus and Serena Williams have made, not only in sports but in life, has made a huge impact on my entire career. They’ve paved the way for black athletes as well as black women. I can’t thank them enough.”

A big fan of the two sisters, Simone also once expressed her wish to be their friend. Simone took a lot of inspiration from Serena for her stand on mental health. Extending the warmth, the Tennis star also expressed her wish to be friends with Simone.
